THQ to Distribute Conker’s Bad Fur Day across Europe

Woking, Surrey UK – March 2, 2001 – THQ International Ltd, a division of THQ, Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI), today announced that it will distribute Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo® 64™ system in Europe in April, 2001. Conker's Bad Fur Day, developed by the world-renowned game designers at UK-based Rare Ltd., is an innovative gaming experience for mature gamers. Conker's Bad Fur Day takes gamers to a new level of gameplay like no other video game before it. After a wild night out, Conker the squirrel awakens to a Bad Fur Day. Experiencing the hangover of a lifetime, he gets lost on the way home and stumbles into a world of abusive paintpots, jabbering dung beetles, and flesh-eating dinosaurs. Now, this frying-pan-wielding fur ball is going to unleash his foul mood on everybody.

"We're excited to be a part of this unique opportunity to work in association with Rare to launch Conker's Bad Fur Day in Europe. Rare has truly out-done itself with this new genre in gaming while at the same time providing gamers with the exceptional gameplay one would expect from a Rare title," said Tim Walsh, Senior Vice President of International Publishing, THQ.

“Conker’s Bad Fur Day is a seminal title, and perhaps Rare’s greatest achievement to date. It is a great honour for THQ to be given the opportunity to work with Nintendo and Rare on Conker,” added Ian Curran, Managing Director, THQ UK & Export.
